I recorded some rain outside my front door. This is a tuned (a440) sample which you can use to achieve a sort of soft-yet-textured synth string sound in a virtual instrument like ableton's sampler. I think adding a little fake vibrato to it with multiple conflicting volume lfos sounds pretty nice. You're free to use this sound without attribution. Please link people here to share rather than redistributing yourself. If you do use this sound, let me know! i'd love to hear what you do with it.

This sample was created by layering short, improvised passages on a yamaha psr-275 into a boss dd-20 in sound on sound mode. Loop was played into a boss me-30 on harmonizer and pitch shifter settings, processed in real time, then faded out. Audio was further processed in goldwave (compression, added hiss, vibrato, etc. ) to give it a more believeable "old vhs tape" sound. I cut it to only include the most convincing segment of audio. (it's not perfect, but it's only an emulation!) 24 kbps, stereo.

A glissando that's perfect for sliding in and out (both sliding in and out for each sample have been added). A lot of cartoons use this particular sound. This sound was recorded by a very talented violin player that i know personally, and edited in audacity. I used the 'dolby on' app on my iphone to record it. First, i thought it was a night-bird but i could not identify it clearly and i never heard an owl shouting like that. Then i understood why when i found on internet a sample exactly like mine. . . Now i know it was a barking roe deer (capreolus capreolus). "when alarmed, it will bark a sound much like a dog" (wikipedia).

This is homemade willow charcoal used in fireworks making being shoveled and dropped on itself in a metal basket. I liked the "twinkling" sound and thought it would be a good first audio sample to upload here. Recorded on my zoom h2n x/y position in northern california. Standard wav.

My fifth attempt at a glitch style loop. In order to make the samples used here - most of which are only hundredths of a second long - i took samples from the amen kit, then switch the format from >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< into >adpcm 11. 025 khz, 4 bit, stereo< then back to >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< again. I found that if you do this with a sample under 00. 35 seconds long, you get an almost random glitch sound, about. 04 seconds long, that barely sounds like the original sound. I just figured this out, but i'll make note of it; i like some of the effects.

Not sure how to describe it, so i'll just describe how i made it. . Micro sampled something in g minor, added tons and tons of lfos to filter modulation, with more filters, and eq and utility, and tons of effect plugins like vinyl, lofi2, saturaters, yeah yeah. . All that stuff.

I made a synth snare sound by using deflemask to make it. I also did this with the synth kick sound, too. Do whatever you want with this (like sounds or music) and credit me if you want as pk superstar256 (in a fan project) or ismo-kun games (in a commercial project). Yes, you can use this in things that can make you money, just don't make money off of this sound of its entirety in unedited form. Author's notes: "i was thinking of processing this and the kick sound with distortion and bass boosting, but i decided to leave them unedited. ".

Here's my second flute reel for the make noise morhpagene. This is how far i've came over the past few months in my playing and despite a few slip ups here and there i'm quite pleased with how i'm able to make it sound now. Would love to hear what people do with these samples as it is quite humbling to know my playing is in people's modular systems across the globe.

A heartbeat sound i made, complete with some gurgling, blood-rushing sounds. Just uploaded a version without the gurgling, in case you prefer the way that sounds. To make this, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a loop of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. After that, i eq'd out the more drum-like parts of each sample, added reverb to dull it, a chorus plugin and some compression to remove some of the drums' attack. . . Basically processed the hell out of them. To get the blood gurgling sound, i filled a water-bottle almost all the way full and turned it sideways, so i had a massive air-bubble floating around. I then tilted the bottle back and forth in front of my blue yeti usb condenser mic, so you could hear the air-bubble swishing. I had to be pretty gentle, because if you rock the horizontal bottle too much, the bubble moves too fast and makes a fake-sounding "gloomp. ". When i was happy with it, i mixed the heartbeat sound and the gurgling sounds so they'd work well together. Both the sounds were in mono, so i used a free plugin called wok ms-t on both of them to create a fake hard-panned stereo effect. I wanted it to sound like you'd been running, and were hearing the heartbeat in your ears. I think it turned out pretty cool. .

Recorded on a damp night from a beach house at wrightsville beach, north carolina. Audio has been treated for some wind. The whole recording was like an hour long but i couldn't upload that much. Tip: to extend the sound, you can cross-fade this sample pretty much anywhere with itself and the effect is virtually unnoticeable.

Drinking water, gulping. Recorded with iphone 6, using the app samplewiz. I recorded this as i drank the water holding phone to neck. The app lets you save the sample and email it to yourself. Its saves the sound file as an aifc. I then brought it into adobe audition cs6 to edit. Recorded on 11/3/2015 in boston ma. Usa.

The same sample with some reverb added. Makes it sound a bit more eerie, maybe just funny. <scrapping and bending cheap alu. Exactly, its the cap of a cheap alluminium box,scrapped over with a metallic brush full of cat's hair. Lol. Pure spontaneous improvisation>. Recorded with a ultra cheap microphone unit of my mp3 player. Reduced noise.

One of a series of heavily processed sounds of me ripping various objects off a sticky surface. I ran the original recordings through s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, layering and sculpting the sounds into short impulses that are suitable for ui sound design.

Changing the pitch, warping the sample, stretching it, complexing it. Setting the shaper to receive only audio, creating a popping effects, great for sound design if you wanna process it more, cut it down. Or even use it as a percussion in a loop. . Up to you.

I build it in fl studio (32bits) with the soundfonts plugin (the soundfont used was "sgm")overdubs were done with a "strings" sample and the rest was just the pure instrument with eq and reverb. (it also includes a subtle piano and choir).

The foreboding sound of fear. Something is watching you. . . Or is it all in your head? i think i might have been subconsciously channeling some of the noises on fsol’s ‘lifeforms’. Might be useful for gabber, dark ambient and soundtracks. Created using a rainstick sample mutated in audacity with paulstretch and loads of effects.

A sample i made years ago. Pitched way down to create a seamless loop of ambience with two automated notch filters and an automated bandpass filter on flstudio's pmeq2. Then i used audacity to import raw data in form of the picture. The resulting sound is obvious if you click the play button on my sample. Did this as an experiement, making a sound out of a visual file. I made several files from different images and noted that they had different sounds. Cheers.

Sound synthesis made from chuck programming language. The model is a connection from an impulse generator to 40 digital filters to 40 delay linesand set feedback between each delay lines. Each delay lines's delay time and cutoff frequency is random. But there was an error in the calculation and the output value overflows. And this create a chaotic behavior in this sample. - - -. This one is a smooth rising soundwith alternating digital aliasing resonances at the end.

I did this naturally for this sound sample, but i figured it would make an interesting sound to post here.
